Everything that has happened since my last blog!

Life has been so hectic and crazy these past couple of monthes I have no idea where to start. In August we were living down in Salt Lake working at the Tacobell in Bountiful. The second week of October, John recieved a phone call from his boss. That was a phone call that changed our lives. He offered John the manager position at the Heber KFC/Tacobell store. The store that John has always wanted to manage. So, after only living in our house for 5 months, we packed everything up and put a FOR SALE sign on our house. We then moved into his mom's basement out in Daniels and that is where we are now. Our house is still on the market waiting to be sold. Once we can get it sold, we are going to buy us a house up here and be near all our family.
Christmas was wonderful this year!!! I got a new sewing machine, a nintendo ds i, a gift card to Roberts, a hundred dollars from my dad and a new cookie jar from my grandma. John got a sling for his gun, a bunch of clothes, a air compressor and a bunch of tools for it. We spent the night at my parents house and had a wonderful breakfast over there. Then we came back to Nelda's and had dinner and played bingo for hours. It was a wonderful Christmas!!!
Other than that, we are still together and happy as ever!!! I can't wait until we can sell our house and get us a new one closer to all our family! Life is going pretty good right now!

Catching Up and Summer Time!

A lot of crazy stuff has been happening for the past couple of months, meaning I have had no time to really sit down and update our blog. Towards the end of May, we bought our very first house out in Salt Lake City. It is the best thing we have done since the day we got married. Our house has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a 2 car garage, beautiful backyard with a patio and much more. We love the house and wished we had done this months ago. We have been in it for about 4 monthes now. We also built a greenhouse in the backyard for John to grow all his plants in. It is 16 feet long and 8 feet wide. My parents came down to help us and we had it built in a day. That has to be the highlight of our summer. For my birthday, my mom got all the family together up in her backyard and we had a BBQ and played games. It was so much fun and I couldn't have asked for a better birthday, except we wished that Mike and Sarai and their kids could have been there. We are going to be going camping next month, not sure where though but we have been looking foreward to that.

At work, we had a huge remodel done that lasted about 1 and 1/2 months. It was such a crazy and hectic time that we all wanted to scream. The stupid contractors practically had no idea what they were doing and now everything they seemed to touch has been falling apart. We have tiles falling off the walls, ceiling panels that are falling down during rainstorms, and much more. But we are hoping to get all the bugs worked out. It is just a crazy time at work right now with people deciding to step down and having to change everything around, loosing employees and trying to find some more that will work well with who we already have but it is going ok. I am also going to be taking a few classes that start in two days. I get to take the Lea
ding a Restaurant class which is the Co-Manager. I don't have any desire to become a co-manager I want to become a mom, but I want to be able to help my husband run his store better and to help him out with the numbers and to understand what they mean. I am also going to take the ServSafe class which is the class that is above the Food Handlers class. It is a 8 hour class and I have to do a ton of study. But I am really excited to do it, I have been wanting to take this class for a couple of years now.

We also celebrated our 2nd aniversay together on August 2. It has been the best two years of my life and I wouldn't change it for the world. I have th
e best husband in the world and I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for my husband helping me and coaching me along the way. We spent our annivesary together at the Outback Steakhouse. He also bought me a really pretty necklace from the Shane Company that I love and wear everyday.

So that is basically how our summer has been going. It has its ups and its downs but we will always get through them together. I love my husband and family and would not be who I am today without any of them.

OUR NEW HOUSE!!

We have been looking for a house to move into for about a year now. Back in September of 2008 we found the perfect house, the only downfall was it was in foreclosure/short sale. So we waited and waited and waited and waited. The mortgage company that the other family was going through ended up going bankrupt and I am pretty sure the family was fighting to keep the house, so the bank would not take it. We waited up until March of this year and finally decided we were done waiting and said forget it. At the end of March we went looking again for houses, this time we found two or three really great houses. We picked the best of the three and decided to give them an offer. After two days of debating on a decent price, THEY ACCEPTED!!! We have been signing papers like crazy and gathering up all the money we can for a down payment. I am so excited and can't wait to get out of this run-down apartment!! Our closing date is May 15 and we should be all moved in and settled by the end of May!! I can't wait! Once we get all settled in and situated in our new house I will post some pictures of it!! Wish me luck!!

Maui, Hawaii

John and I got to go on a wonderful (fully paid for) vacation to Maui, Hawaii for 5 and 1/2 days. We left on March 5 and came home on March 11. It was one of the best and most amazing vacations I have ever been on. The room made you feel like you were a queen, they were that nice.

We spent a lot of the trip walking up and down Front Street where there are a lot of shops to get souvenirs at and plenty of food to eat. We hung out with a few of our friends from Heber and Provo.

Harman's (our work company that sent us on the trip) gave us a great dinner including a Luau. The Luau was amazing, I have never seen women move their hips as fast as they did that night.

We also got to go snorkeling. The boat took us out into the ocean and let us snorkel for about two hours. John was so close to touching a turtle but couldn't hold his breath any longer. The view was amazing everywhere we went. Here are some of the pictures I took while we were there:

It was so nice to get away and get away from all the cold and snow and sit out by the pool in the hot sun. But it was also nice to come home and sleep in your own bed for a change. It was one of the best vacations and I can't wait to go again. I think next time it will be Kauai.

Valentine's Day

John and I usually end up working on Valentine's day. The first two we spent together we were both working, all day. This year we both worked, but at 9 pm we packed our bags and headed for Vegas. We only got to stay for two days but it was worth it. We drove all night, slept in the back seat of the car when we got tired, and had a blast driving up and down The Strip. We spent alot of our time hanging out at the Arcade at Circus Circus (we won two lava lamps) and went to the Adventuredome and road all the rides, twice.

There was this exhibit at the Luxor hotel called "Bodies" that we went to as well. Long story short, it is an exhibit where real humans have donated their bodies to be cut up and preserved so we can look at them and see what is inside our bodies. All the muscles, tendons, bones, brains, you name it its there. And you get to walk through and look at them. You can tell they are real. Its not hard at all. They still have their toenails and fingernails. You can see the hair foliciles. Some of them still had bits and pieces of their eyebrows. It was really gross and disgusting but very education as well.

All in all, it was a great vacation. Even though we only got to stay for a few days, it was a well needed vacation and well needed time to spend together. John and I work so much we hardly ever have time to enojoy each other. I can't wait for the first week of March to get here, we leave for Maui then. And will be gone for an entire week!

5. Were you a flirt? I loved to flirt with all the boys.

Audrey Hortin was the best teacher ever. She was the advisor of the ED-net classes and was a great inspiration to me.

A wasp; black and gold.

Nope. To much drama and crap to deal with. I hated most of my high school experience.

Being able to see John from where I sat on the bleachers. Going to get ice cream afterward with John and my mom. I was getting married in 3 months from then.

23. Did you have a job while in High School?
I worked at the KFC/Tacobell since 2006. I worked most of my senior year doing two work release classes.

Most of my high school experience sucked. I was picked on and bullied around by so many people and didn't really know what to do about it. My senior year I met John McNeil working at KFC in Heber and he changed my whole world around. It was so nice to meet someone who didn't judge you and loved you for who you were. He was and is my best friend in the world. He completes me and helps to make me who I am. He is my everything.

New Year, New Me

2008 is done and 2009 is just beginning. I have decided I am going to try to better myself, physically and mentally, this year.

I have always thought about dyeing my hair again. I used to do it so much back in High School but quit once I was married, not really sure why. So I went down the street to the Hair Salon and completely changed my hair. I added a dark brown to my already dark blonde making it look actually pretty decent. I even went with a new hairstyle, something I have new done before.
I have also decided to get myself into shape. I am not all the overweight, I just have a few fat rolls that I would like to shed. I would like to look good as well as feel good about myself when I walk down the street or look at myself in the mirror.

I am also going to start doing things for me. Not doing what everyone else wants to me to and not make excuses as to why I have to or why I don't have. I have always wanted to make everyone else happy and not really thought about myself these past couple of years.

I had a real eyeopener the other night when I stayed up late and thought about my life and things that have happened in the past. The past is the past and you can't change that. And I have always lived by what has happened to me and not learning from it and moving on. This year is going to be the year I grow up and start living for the future and not think about the past.

I am hoping this year to be a better and more successful year then the last ones. (Not that I am saying we haven't been successful, I would like to succeed in new areas and improve in the ones that I am slacking on). This year is going to be a great one. I can just tell by how close me and my husband have grown in the past few weeks. Things are going to be ok.
